About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles’ Koreatown, RNY Coffee Studio stands out as a serene sanctuary for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This cozy café offers more than just expertly brewed coffee—it creates a vibrant atmosphere where flavor, creativity, and community converge. With its thoughtful menu and inviting environment, RNY Coffee Studio has quickly become a cherished spot for locals, students, and anyone seeking a moment of calm amid the city buzz.

The drink menu here is a delightful exploration of both classic espresso drinks and inventive specialties. From a velvety Vienna Latte that balances rich espresso with smooth, less-sweetened milk, to the uniquely textured Peanut Cream Top Latte, each sip is memorable. The Injeolmi Latte offers a subtle nutty sweetness inspired by traditional Korean rice cakes, while the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cream blends earthy green tea notes with a luxuriously creamy topping that feels indulgent yet balanced.

For those who prefer chilled drinks, the Pistachio Cold Brew and Salted Caramel Shot provide refreshing alternatives packed with complex flavor layers. Not to be overlooked, the Strawberry Matcha boasts a homemade strawberry puree that elevates the natural bitterness of matcha, though seasoned patrons have noted room for personal taste preferences. And when coffee isn’t quite the craving, RNY’s offering of craft beer and savory bites like the Pesto Sandwich rounds out the experience, making it perfect for lingering and savoring the moment.

But what truly sets RNY Coffee Studio apart is its atmosphere. As Anna, a loyal patron and frequent visitor, describes, it manages to thrive in one of Koreatown’s densest café zones with ample seating that suits both focused study sessions and relaxed catch-ups. Before 11 AM, the space is comfortably quiet, a rare find in LA, and even later there’s still room to settle in. Juan Barillas appreciated the calm, casual background music—seasonally festive during December—that fosters productive work sessions in a cozy setting.

Customer experiences echo a commitment to quality and ambiance. Richard Hughes praised the rare inclusion of a vanilla bean latte, which struck a perfect balance for his palate. Aornchuma Junthanop found the Vienna Latte "scrumptious" and appreciated the attentive service, recognizing the slightly premium price as a worthy trade-off. Amy P has been a steadfast fan for over a year, lauding the café’s eco-friendly coffee beans and unwavering dedication to sustainability—a value that adds an ethical dimension to every rich, consistent cup.

One small note is parking; as Juan highlighted, the valet-only situation might deter regular visits, though the overall experience inside more than compensates for this minor inconvenience.

In sum, RNY Coffee Studio is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a thoughtfully curated retreat where each beverage is crafted with care and the environment invites connection, creativity, and calm. Whether you’re chasing the perfect espresso tonic or craving a quiet corner with a pesto sandwich and cold brew, RNY offers a sophisticated yet accessible experience that keeps customers coming back time and again.

I got the vanilla bean latte from this place which I enjoyed a lot. I’d rate it a 8.5 out of 10. I don’t see a lot of places have vanilla bean, which is my personal favorite. My girlfriend got a strawberry matcha which she has gotten at over 100 different places and she rates it a 8/10. She likes that it’s homemade strawberry puree, but said she has had better at other places. For me personally I did like the place and would go back for the vanilla bean latte.

Got Vienna Latte and was very scrumptious. Love every sip of it. Not overly sweet since I requested for less sweet. Good vibes and nice service. A bit pricey but worth a try.

RNY is practically a USC satellite campus and I am its newest victim. It continues to survive in Ktown's densest cafe zone by having ample seating fit for both studying and yapping and a small parking lot. It's also surprisingly not too crowded before 11 AM and seating is still periodically available after. I got an Americano with a creamy peanut cream top, which cut through the acidity of the coffee very well without feeling heavy. They use Stumptown beans, which are prominently displayed behind the counter. My friend got a strawberry matcha, made with milk and fresh strawberry puree. They also have some very entertaining cold brew and drip coffee equipment that you can observe if you sit at the bar! The interior is also very well decorated, with a variety of chairs, tables, and a cute mirror. Their range of prices depend a lot on what you order.

Cute little coffeehouse. I go the chance to read a textbook for a couple of hours. The place was calmed and regula coffeehouse noise with background music. This time christmas songs were playing since we already in December Anyways great place to do some work. Only the discouraging for this place is the valet parking. I would go pretty often but because of the parking is not free

It’s been over a year since I first discovered this gem of a coffee shop, and I’m happy to say it’s still as good as day one. They’ve continued using the same eco-friendly coffee beans — which I truly appreciate. Not only is the flavor rich and consistent, but their commitment to sustainability hasn’t wavered.

I got the Vienna latte and I loved it! The server was also very helpful explaining the items on the menu. It was a nice place to use my laptop because there is wifi and plugs available. I am also glad they have almond milk option available
